If you follow me over on instagram, you might have seen that I’ve started a new photo project. I was inspired by an instaxayear and I’ve decided to put my new instax camera to use and take a polaroid picture every day.
As I turned 21 last week, I thought it would be really cool to capture the whole year and I can’t wait to look back at the year and have a tangible thing. I think our generation has gotten so used to just taking photos on our phones and digital cameras that we rarely have actual copies of our photos. I’m also one of those people who has 100 versions of the same photo to try and get the perfect shot. Only being able to have one take (unless it goes horribly wrong) is defiantly a struggle and I’m not going to lie, it definitely stresses me out, but I do love it. It’s quite a new concept for me and it’s definitely making me think more creatively.
Something I am struggling with is being confident enough to get my camera out in public. Sometimes, I get really shy about it but I’m having to get over it to capture moments! I don’t know what it is which makes me so shy about it but I’m working on it. I really want to capture moments therefore if I want to do it, I should regardless of what I think other people are thinking.
I’m really looking forward to seeing where this project is going to go. I’m looking forward to getting to use my install more and learning different ways to use it too. If you follow me on instagram, you can follow my daily pictures and I’m going to do some round up blog posts too.
