My 2018 blogging goals

The new year is here and I’ve started to look at what I want to achieve in 2018, both with the blog & personally. I’m going to do a separate blog post on my personal goals however, for today, we’ll focus on blogging goals.

I love setting goals. Some people laugh at the whole new year, new me concept but I really love the concept. I find it really empowering and motivating to know that as January 1st rolls around, I get a chance to reevaluate what I want and decide how I’m going to get it.

A year ago, I attended Blogger Bootcamp however I only half implemented what I learnt. Uni and life got in the way however now I feel ready. I really want to grow KTMY this year, not just numbers wise (although that would be nice) but also in the content I produce. I want to produce things which I’m genuinely proud of and which hopefully other people will enjoy reading too.

So, what goals am I planning

You might have noticed that slowly but surely there’s a little bit of a rebrand going on. I’m going back to my blue theme because I love that colour. I’m also going for a more minimal feel, in line with my personal 2018 goals, and I’m really excited for what’s to come.

Anyone who has read this blog for a while will know that I have a chronic illness and I want this blog to feature living with a chronic illness more. Showing the good and the bad. So I’ve started Chronically Living, which I talked about in my last post.

Linked to this, I’m starting a monthly newsletter. I’m super excited to start this because I absolutely love recieving bloggers emails and I wanted the chance to send my own! It’s going to feature my tips for living the chronic life to the fullest as well as sharing some of my favourites.

..Over the summer, I restarted my youtube channel however as I moved back to Manchester, work and uni got in the way and I ran out of time. There are a few changes happening in the new year and I my plan is to make proper time for filming & editing. I love creating video content so I’m excited to be starting again.

I’ve also set a few numbers goals as well. I know blogging isn’t about the numbers but I really want to continue growing my following. So, by the end of 2018 (it feels so strange writing that!) I want to reach;

500 YouTube subscribers
2k Instagram followers
5k Twitter followers
1k Facebook likes
5000 monthly page views

Some of these are more attainable than others. However I think it’s really important to set goals which you have to work for. If I don’t reach them, it isn’t the end of the world. However, if I do, I can celebrate and be really proud of that. Plus, I love coming up with new ways to engage with you all!

So, there are some of my blogging goals.  If there’s any content you’d like to see on the blog, let me know!
